BALINESE PAINTINGS 2018
Bali, Indonesia - November 2018
Painting of a Barong Ket (Barong Mask) based on the mythical Banaspati Pati Raja, "King of the Forest". This is the logo of the " I Love Bali" cycling event 2018 organised by the Brompton Owners Bali, based on artwork by Bli Ardha.
While on a cycling trip in Bali, on an invitation by the Brompton Owners Bali group, we visitied several places. Bali is an island full of art, whether at its attractive temples, palaces, water parks or just around any corner. Here are some of the nice paintings that we saw. We did see sculptures & statues too and also had a the chance to visit the Sukawati Art Market. Artwork of sculptures & statues are shown at the Balinese Sculpture 2018 Blog, and those seen at the art market is shown at the Sukawati Art Market Blog.
Below are many of the paintings we saw, click on the respective photo for a better enlarged view. Due to photography angle, and for presentation purposes, many of photos have been cropped and edited to compensate for low lighting. It is better to go there and see these artworks for yourself. Enjoy!
