The National Palace Museum, located in Taipei and Taibao, Taiwan, has a permanent collection of nearly 700,000 pieces of ancient Chinese imperial artifacts and artworks. Gallery 103 (Rare Books & Historical Documents) displays rare documents such as treaties, pacts and even paintings depicting historical military campaigns with written narration. Most of these documents were from the Ching Dynasty. These old documents are very fragile and are kept in cases to prevent deterioration and damage.
