Central Asia - May 2026
During our Central Asia 2026 Tour, we saw beautiful, colourful lamps, some of which are presented here. Flush-mounted pendant chandelier installed on a rich kundal (gilded relief-painted) ceiling. Seen at Uzbekistan State Museum of Applied Arts in Tashkent.

The above and following ceiling lights seen at Navat Restaurant in Almaty. Multi-lantern tiered chandelier with exotic pierced metalwork with intricate filigree cutouts, and frosted glass.

Tubeteika-style (skullcap) teapot warmer at Navat Restaurant in Almaty.
Okay, this is not a lighting, but I found it cute; it covers the teapot to keep the tea warm.
