MEE JAWA @ 3^11 STREET STALL
Kepong Baru, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia - July 2013
If we pass by Kepong Baru during on of our many cycling trips, we will try to stop by at this road side stall uniquely called 3^7. The previous round we had tried their ice kacang, one of the best I have ever had. This time round it's time to savour some other food that's served there too, this time round I will try their Mee Jawa.
Of course we will never fail to have their delicious ice-kacang (... see ice-kacang blog).
It's surprising that from a simple road-side lean-to stall one can find good food in Kepong Baru.
The Mee Jawa came garnished with slices of cucumber, spring onion, a slice of hard-boiled egg and a piece of keropok.
The soup was slightly sticky and spicy. It tasted flavourful and delicious. Overall this was one of the better mee jawa that I have tasted. And it is hard to find good mee jawa in Kuala Lumpur.
A menu/price list is on a signboard hanging above the stall.
Other than the Mee Jawa, the stall also offer other food like this Curry Laksa. This was quite good too with a tasty spicy soup.
Out on the road-side a small stall sells Fried Cempedak...
YummY! Fried Cempedak.
