Taiwan - October/November 2017
These are artwork we saw at various places while on a cycling tour in Taiwan. Some were murals/art pieces displayed in the open while others were colourful villages, malls and the airport.
I do apologise if some of the photos here have reflections in them, because of this and photography angle, some of the photos have been truncated for better presentation. It's best to go there personally to view the artwork for a better experience.

Taiwan Art @ Taiwan's National Palace Museum (國立故宮博物院)

With a collection of nearly 700,000 pieces of ancient Chinese imperial artifacts and artworks, this museum is one of the largest of its type in the world. The collection encompasses 8,000 years of history of Chinese art - Taipei, Taiwan.

Taiwan Aboriginal Art @ Formosan Aboriginal Village Sun Moon Lake (九族文化村)

Taiwanese tribal art which tells of legends - Sun Moon Lake, Taiwan.

Taiwan Aboriginal Art @ Dawu (大武鄉) & Taimali (太麻里鄉)

In these two towns are aboriginal villages, where the people have put their artistic talents to good use - Taitung County, Taiwan.

Taiwan Aborigine Art @ Taroko (太魯閣)

Some Taiwanese aboriginal artwork seen at the vicinity of the Taroko National Park; including comic-style representation of various indigenous tribes - Taroko, Taiwan.

Taiwan Art @ Taitung County (臺東縣) & Hualien County (花蓮縣)

Artwork we saw while on a cycling tour of Taiwan, enroute from Taitung to Yuli - Taitung County & Hualien County, Taiwan.

Taiwan Art @ Art Wall Tamsui Old Street (淡水老街)

At Tamsui Old Street is an art wall with nice painting on glazed tiles  - Tamsui District, Taipei, Taiwan.

Taiwan Street Art @ Danongdafu Forest Park (大農大富平地森林園區)

Some street art seen at this forest park near Guangfu Township in Hualien County.

Taiwan Street Art @ Fangliao Railway Art Village (枋寮鐵道藝術村)

An art community turns this former railway quarters into a living art village.

Taiwan Street Art @ Hualien (花蓮市)

Cute and beautiful street art we saw while cycling in Hualien. Some in the city and many at the coastal parks.

Taiwan Street Art @ Taipei Cinema Park (臺北市電影主題公園)

Interesting and though provoking murals and graffiti seen at the streets around the Taipei Cinema Park.

Taichung Rainbow Village (彩虹眷村) Colorful Murals

An old man started painting this village and left us a colourful legacy.

Taiwan: Yangtian Painted Village (鹽田社區彩繪巷) @ Kaoshiung

A community effort to enliven a village with its history of a salt mining era of by-gone days - Yangtian, Yong'an District, Kaohsiung City, Taiwan.

Cycling Korea

With its elaborate cycling infrastructure South Korea is a wonderful place to cycle in. The cycling lanes and trails cuts to bustling metropolises, panoromic countryside and scenic riversides, and even loop round some islands; giving a diverse cycling experience.
